In this session we learnt how to take clear 'good photos' Learning about composition. Understanding that every shot should have reason and purpose. For example, if we take a photo of a persons face, their necklace or the colour of their top should not be shown unless there is a clear purpose. Things should only be included if they are necessary.
We also learnt about the 'Rule of thirds' this was an imaginary grid usually 3x3 outlines the clear levels of an image.
For an example of a beach:
- The sky would be the top level
- In the middle would be that sea
- Then the beach floor would be the lowest level.
We touched upon Exposure, I feel this is a major factor in the process of capturing images, because lighting is such a key element in taking a 'good photo'.
For our Photo's we would be using Cannon EOS 450D
These camera's have an in-built 'P' feature which provides the user with autmatic exposure settings, in some rare cases you do need to adjust the exposure yourself t your taste, but a majority of the time this automated exposure setting is very useful.
